Privacy Policy
Provision · Last updated 9 August 2026
Provision keeps your goals on your device. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server of ours holding your data. We cannot see what you're working on, because it never reaches us. If you switch on iCloud sync or share a goal, that happens through your own iCloud account — still not through us.
What Provision stores
Everything you enter — goals, daily amounts logged, notes, checklists, and your settings — is written to a file on your device. Unless you switch on iCloud sync or share a goal, it stays there, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
iCloud sync
Sync is off unless you turn it on, in Settings inside the app. While it is off, nothing described in this section happens.
When you turn it on, your goals, logged history, notes, checklists, and archive are copied to your own private iCloud storage — the same place your photos and notes live. This lets your goals appear on your other devices, and lets them come back if you get a new phone.
This is your iCloud account, not ours. Apple stores it, Apple's privacy policy governs it, and Provision has no server and no ability to read it. We cannot see your goals whether sync is on or off.
Turning sync off stops further copies being sent. To remove what is already there, delete Provision's data from Settings on your iPhone, under your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
What we collect
Nothing. Provision has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no crash reporting that sends data to us. We do not know how many goals you have, whether you finished them, or whether you opened the app today.
Money goals
Provision never connects to a bank, a card, or any financial account. Savings goals are numbers you type in yourself. This is deliberate: the app has no way to read your balance and no way to move money.
Subscriptions
Lite and Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment and tells the app which plan you're entitled to. We never see your payment details, and we do not receive your name or email address from Apple.
Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Health data
Provision does not read Health data.
Calendar
Calendar linking is an optional Pro feature. With your permission, Provision reads your calendar to find out when you are already busy — the times events occupy, and nothing else. It does not read event titles, attendees, or locations.
It works with whatever calendars are already set up on your iPhone, including Google, Outlook, iCloud, and Exchange. Provision reads them through iOS's own calendar rather than connecting to those services directly, so it never sees your account details or sign-in for any of them.
That information stays on your device and is used for one thing: placing work in the gaps you actually have. It is never sent to us, because there is nowhere to send it.
If you switch on session events, Provision writes your planned work into a separate calendar of its own, which you can hide or delete at any time. Calendar access can be turned off from Settings on your iPhone.
Sharing a goal with someone
You can share an individual goal with another person. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it, one goal at a time.
Sharing uses Apple's own sharing system. You send an invitation link however you like — Messages, Mail, anything — and whoever opens it can see that goal. They see its title, how far along you are, and which days you logged. They cannot change anything, and they cannot see any of your other goals, notes, or checklists.
Provision does not read your contacts or address book, and has no directory of users. The only name we ever show for another person is the one Apple provides from their own iCloud account.
You can stop sharing at any time from the goal itself. Access ends immediately for everyone you shared it with.
Messages and reactions you send to a friend are currently held on your own device and are not delivered. The app tells you this when you send one.
Children
Provision is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your control
- Delete any goal, note, or checklist item from within the app.
- Stop sharing any goal from the goal itself — access ends at once.
- Turn iCloud sync off at any time in Settings inside the app.
- Export a copy of everything from Settings → Your data.
- Delete everything by deleting the app. If you used iCloud sync, also remove Provision's data under iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Because nothing is sent to us, there is no account to close and no data for us to delete on your behalf. What is in your iCloud is yours, held by Apple, and you control it through your own iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If Provision starts collecting anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
